I finally got around disassembleing a ph2 engine and took some photos to show you why I always whine about the ph2 2.0t pistons to be weak.

Ohhh... completely different(!)
Sorry but the longer (silver) is Ph2??
I didn't know that the rods and pins are also different.
Are Ph2 rods longer?

the gold one is ph2 which has longer(and because of the length weaker) rods

Torpis, say I wanted a mild build. How much would I be looking at for custom rods and Phase 1 pistons?

Rods are $100 a piece(H-beam) and I can get you 4 pistons for ~$230 (stock rods included if you whish)

Torpis, if you don't mind, rather than clutter this thread, could you email me?

I'd basically like a build list. Power goal is a reliable 250-275whp with moderate boost level on a T3 6-trim with a cossie hotside.

What are my best options for building the motor to handle this power level. Stock PH1 2.0T rods and pistons good enough? Forged rods with P1 pistons?

Thanks for your time,

Adam
